Pushmataha Plantation  is located in the prime deer habitat of Choctaw County, Alabama which offers the sportsman considerable opportunity to pursue a trophy deer.  

  Particular pride is taken in our deer management program to assure successful trophy production. Since implementing this program, the harvest of trophy bucks has more than doubled.  

   The deer population at the beginning of each season is above average in our hunting areas. The live weight of our mature bucks range from 150 to 225 pounds with 6 to 12 good points and spreads of 13 to 22 inches. In order to make sure our lands are not overhunted, we rotate our hunting zones to keep deer activity at a maximum and increase the hunter's chance of harvesting one of our fine bucks.
